Director of Church Ministry (Full-time)

The Free Will Baptist Children's Home is seeking a full-time Director of Church Ministry. This position will coordinate the campus spiritual life program. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of weekly worship services for youth and staff

  • Coordination of daily cottage and staff devotions

  • Planning special events for youth and staff, as well as special campus-wide events

  • Development of meaningful relationships with youth and staff

  • Direct a 3 day off-campus youth retreat

  • Planning a spiritual life week for youth

  • Hosting church and community groups

  • Management of church ministry budget

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in ministry, similar field, or 5 years ministry experience. Youth ministry experience a plus. Additionally, candidates should be personable, team-oriented and have a desire to work within a diverse community of believers and nonbelievers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong evangelical desire and aspire to meet "at-risk" youth in relevant ways, where they are spiritually. Knowledge of technology, current ministry trends, an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as basic pastoral counseling skills are desired. Above all, the ideal candidate will have unquestionable character and a passionate love of Christ.

Cottage Parent (Full-time)

The Free Will Baptist Children's Home is currently seeking an energetic person to join our team as a full-time Cottage Parent.  Responsibilities include providing on-site supervision of adolescents in a residential setting.  This is a live-in position with rotating days and every other weekend off. 

 

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, a high school graduate, be able to pass a drug screen, have a clean driving record with a valid license, and pass an FBI background check.
